
Biography
Curtis Dawkins (he/him) is a fiction and essay writer. An MFA graduate of Western Michigan University, Dawkins was born in southern Illinois. He is the author of the critically-acclaimed collection of short stories The Graybar Hotel (Scribner), praised as “toughly courageous, unflinching, and unapologetic,” by Joyce Carol Oates. Dawkins is currently at work on a novel about his time in prison and the writing club he helped form at Kinross Correctional.
